Talk about a cottage industry.

From their southeast Charlotte home, financial coaches Bill and Mary Staton take on the big boys of the investment world.

The married couple recently made Bloomberg's list of top 500 Wealth Managers (No. 344) in the nation.

The Statons' E-Money Digest, a weekly e-newsletter, reaches 18 countries at last count, plus a few diverse communities here at home. The Statons get an occasional note from someone behind bars and send investing tips for free to help inmates start a new life.
